Ireland Acquires Five Thales Radars for Airspace Surveillance
Technical Capability and Field Balances
Thales offers long-range surveillance and high processing power with the GM400α radar. The GM200 MM/A radar can simultaneously detect and track targets at low and high altitudes. The systems will help protect the sovereignty of Irish airspace by strengthening the recognised air picture of the Irish Defence Forces.
Thales has received a letter of award from Malaysia for the delivery of two additional systems for the GM400α radar. The systems will be delivered to the Malaysian Air Force, which is seen as an agreement signed with Thales as part of defense cooperation.
