H225M is an 11-ton, twin-engine tactical transport helicopter. It is equipped with two Safran Makila 2A1 turboshaft engines. It can carry 28 fully equipped personnel or be used as an 11-12 bed ambulance. Its maximum takeoff weight is 11.2 tons, cruise speed about 262 km/h and maximum speed 324 km/h. Its standard range is about 920 km, and with auxiliary fuel tanks it can reach about 1,253 km. Its range can be increased with aerial refueling.
