Critical Defense Move from MKE and MIRAS: BMP-1s Reborn with TURAN
With the memorandum of understanding signed between MKA, the Azerbaijan-based subsidiary of Machinery and Chemical Industry (MKE), and MIRAS, BMP-1 armored fighting vehicles in the inventory of the Azerbaijani Army are being modernized. The modernized vehicles, named TURAN, are equipped with next-generation firepower and electro-optical systems.
